Welcome to NSTS 2014!

This marks the Nida School's eighth year of advancing research in translation studies through a transdisciplinary approach that draws on a wide range of perspectives and methodologies, challenging traditional disciplinary boundaries, while encouraging consideration of religious discourse.

The theme of this year's session, Translation as Interpretation, will be explored by our two Nida Professors, Timothy Beal and Lawrence Venuti, in a series of six lectures, complemented by the presentations of a diverse roster of additional faculty.

The site will be a hub of communication and activity as our time together in May draws closer. Be sure to check back often for the latest information, updates and topics of discussion, as well as to access advance reading materials which the faculty may make available.

We look forward to welcoming you in person when you arrive on the beautiful Italian Adriatic seacoast in May! In the meantime, click on the links below to read further important information about travel to and from Misano, as well as about various aspects of the Nida School itself.

Best wishes as you prepare for NSTS 2014!
